Marty Broda, certified black belt Nia Technique teacher & founder of Synchronia, is a Master Member of IDEA. [International Dance Educators' Assoc.], an ACE [American Council on Exercise] certified Group Fitness Leader, and a certified personal trainer.

Since 1982, she has professionally taught fitness including step, slide, water, circuit, & low impact. Since 1999, she exclusively teaches Nia. Currently she teaches at Capital Fitness Spa Health Club in Chapel Hill, Millennium Sport Club in Chatham Co., & Meadowmont Fitness Facility of UNC Hospitals.

Marty does special Nia events at her home under the stars & sky as well as series of classes for community & church groups. To Marty Nia is more than a physical workout, it heals mind & spirit, is self-directed, & it enhances life's blessings. She chooses Nia as a life practice & path.

She has resided in the Triangle Area since the 1960's & has 4 children & 4 grandchildren. She attended Elon College & Duke University, she taught social studies for 30 years, & recently retired.

Another aspect of Synchronia is Gaia Spirit Sticks: walking sticks, staffs, & wands decorated with natural materials: leather, feathers, shells, etc. Energetically each decoration adds its spirit to a Spirit Stick & honors Mother Earth. Indigenous peoples have used medicine, talking, healing, dancing, and meditation Sticks for 1000's of years.

Living to Marty is an adventurous journey. Nia affords Marty an inspired roadmap when considering options & life choices. Nia has transformed her life. She feels more joy, lives fuller, senses serenity & is more mindful of the moment.
